Tartan Lace Right Angle Weave and Peyote Stitch Bracelet

I’ve finally finished another tutorial! This one is for a bracelet I made a few weeks ago. I began thinking about this one while working on the chains for the Wisteria Whirls necklace. I thought it would be really cool to transition right angle weave into peyote stitch. The result, somewhat accidentally, ended up looking lot like tartan.

After my first attempt (not shown here), I was pretty hung up on finding a tartan and replicating it. I spent way too long looking at tartans, which was fun, but counter-productive! In the end, I decided to go with bright, opaque seed beads and metalics and make a fantasy tartan.

In other news, I decided to move over to WordPress. I like Blogger, but wanted to change my URL and wanted to learn more about using WordPress. I’m really happy with the lovely templates and can’t wait to play with this thing!
