Cabled Herringbone Braclet

January 26, 2009

Cabled Herringbone Braclet
Herringbone stitch has always reminded me of knitting. The way way the seed beads sit together at a slight angle looks just like little stitches.

This design from the current (Jan 2009) issue of Bead and Button uses a similar technique to cabled knitting to make the rows of herringbone twist over top of each other like waves.

casey, this is gorgeous! actually, I’m amazed by how many things you have been able to make between coursework & working & everything else. no wonder you were so good in the document design class, you’re an artist!

Tammy, thanks so much! Sorry I didn’t get back to this before, I’ve been so busy with working…you’re right, it’s hard to find the time for fun stuff like this. Thanks for taking the time to look here 🙂
